Read the title of the thread. If I choose to drive an automatic, that's my choice. It is much easier to drive an auto in traffic than a manual, that's a fact. It has nothing to do with the size of your leg, just the size of your brain.

Personally, I have never driven a Tip TT. However, I did like the Tip on the Cayenne. Based on the input to this post, it sounds like a Tip in a TT is very good.

Yep... but if you bring in my nationality: Things in Germany are just as slow as a GERMAN Porsche 996 GT2/CGT, a GERMAN AMG SL 65/SLR or a GERMAN M3/M5... uhmmm... or a GERMAN Lamborghini Gallardo/Murcielago (Lambo is owned by VW/AUDI)... or a GERMAN Bentley Continental GT (owned by VW/AUDI)... or as crappy as a GERMAN Rolls Royce Phantom (owned by BMW). Your turn now!

Marx, please tell me you are not a complete tool... The GT2 wing and front spoiler provide more downforce, therefore creating more stability at 180+ mph speeds, something you should be easily familiar with living by the autobahn. My car eclipses the 180 mph mark with ease, and I find many places to demonstrate that to myself on a regular basis. I also track my car, so I need the kit.

Yep, I know. Costs a little top speed though.

I wouldn't have reacted that strong if you weren't going into this whole this discussion so aggressively. And I simply love the pic of the car with the wooden "aero-kit".

So I will only be able to hit 204 mph insteed of 208 mph... like I will ever be going that fast on a track... maybe on the freeway though

Tiptronic is a GREAT option for anyone that wants it. Period.

Personally, I love stick shifts. They are more engaging to drive, but require more effort. Not necessarily something you may want on a daily commute in traffic.

I can concede that in a high horsepower/torque car an automatic CAN beat a stick in acceleration especially with an average driver at the helm.

I don't really get this Matt Fresh guy. Ok you don't like the tip. Fine. But you don't have to make a complete *** of yourself trying to explain that.

I got the feeling that anyone who drives a tip TT with psm on is gay, worthless, makes you puke and so on and so on.

You drive your REALLY FAST manual TT with a super racing clutch in traffic all day with psm off and you're really the mans man!

I would definately get a manual TT (yes I don't own a porsche, am I allowed to post?) because I've driven manuals all my short life and live in a city with hardly any traffic at all but I understand those who choose the tip.

"If I had my choice of a manual (stick shift) vs. a sequential gearbox on a track, I would choose the latter with no hesitation. I would much rather drive an Enzo on a track than a CGT for the sake of the gearbox"

So you're saying that you'd rather sit in traffic all day long with a race clutch and when you come to the track you'll switch to the semi-automatic box?

I know the Enzos gearbox isn't anything like the tip in the 996 but this sentence kind of defeats anything you've posted in this thread.
