yes, I just did some logs via a durametric setup this time. Now running K16/16gs at 1.1 bar for initial tuning. After a 2-3, 3-4, & 2-4 gear pull, the highest WOT IAT (34.5C) was 7.7C over the coldest non-load temp (27.8C) This corresponded to 12.5C over ambient (22C). The temp would actually dip for a few seconds beyond intial WOT as more air got moving across them, then the IATs would start coming up. More logs to follow as EPL dials in the tune (though it looks spot on so far )

Ben, just saw your PMs, sorry bout that, I'll respond in a bit.

More performance data starting to trickle in:

We got durametric logs, VBOX figures and also video. The GT2 RS coolers performed so much better than the AM ones that we were both shocked.
Before we post more details we saw an improvement of about 20-25degrees in IATs at 100-300kms (yes you read right).
IATs were getting as high as 59 degrees with the AM ones while with the GT2rs coolers they peaked at 41 degrees at around 250kms/hr and then started dropping to around 36degr at 300kms. We actually saw even lower IATs in some other runs.

in terms of performance;
100-200kms; 5.5 vs 5.0 secs best times
100-300kms; 18.65 vs 16.93 secs

Needless to say numbers above are personal best and i wonder if they could be improved with only 1 passenger.

Ambient temps were 12 degrees(AM) vs 9 degrees (GT2RS).

We tried to keep most variables constant as much as possible so we had the same car/tune, same passengers, same fuel quality, same exact road.
This was truly a big surprise.. More to follow
Looks like they're working fine well beyond the 600rwhp (dynojet) level Not many coolers out there will exhibit a temp drop beyond 250 km/hr at 1.55 bar (IMO this is where a thicker core bites you).

A side note; Porsche may start jacking the price on these as they've done with some popular parts in the past.

What is AM IC? Aftermarket?

Either way, that is very impressive... I'm happy to say that I ordered a set the week before last!

Hi

I asked NFR about the intercoolers.

They tell me that don´t do intercoolers to Porsche. They produce similar intercoolers.

Do you know if the NFR 997.2 Intercoolers as the same performence then the stock 997.2 Porsche intrecoolers?

Regards,
VS

I thought it would've been good to add this info here as well.

They are not made by DENSO, but by NRF, which is owned by the bigger group JDEUS, as well as DENSO.

You have to search for the NRF part numbers

00030187
00030186

This is the website where you can see the corrispondence with the Porsche Part:

http://www.nrf.eu

you go to "webshop" and type the part number.

Hope this helps!!!

Actually they are "OEM" IC's...there is the Porsche part number on the plastic and tank...

has anyone seen the Champion Motorsports video about their new IC's?
note where they tested the flow and the results at 5:49.
the 997.2 core had the lowest CFM...

we discussed it pretty well in this thread:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...game-over.html

All we know for sure is that they're still providing substantial gains at 730hp (the coolers GT-TT was running before the .2s were the less restrictive 3.5" Bell based cores). You may see a slight lag penalty as the turbos come online but from my own data and GT's, it wasn't measureable.
