MadeThe Move To K16/16g Billets From Tony At EPL
i did intake piping, injectors, fpr, filters, and fuel filter,4.5" i/c before ever tuning. after chasing ghosts for the better part of 6 months (not the tuners fault but my mechanical errors) the car was finally sorted enough to start getting proper tunes. i have loaded my 5 file just yesterday continuing to turn up the boost as the logs allow then we will start working on advancing the timing a bit.
now my car isnt a daily so there were times when it was a month or more ofter a tune before i got the weather and time to datalog. so since feb of this yr to now 5 files have been loaded and will continue to datalogg and reflash as long as tony thinks theres progress to be made

Here's some interesting info here......

there are different wheels for the k16s as I stated before but the real limitation is the turbine hot side of the K16 not the compressor side.. so one can stuff a jet engine on the cold side but it will only choke up due to the hot sides limitation... and thats where the k24 comes in to play...
just like a A28 cant compete against a A30.... its that simple..
but ist alot easier to sell kits with a turbo thats readily available and make it sound great... I get clients calling me... hey, I seen a k16 billet make 600 whp on pump gas.. does yours do that?... " Im oh boy here go again...
on pump gas a A30 from tial barely makes it let alone a k16 midget..
not trying to steal the thread but people wake stop drinking cool aid.. lol

No one will charge you two hours to swap turbos. Most shops go by book time or their own estimate. I would say you would at least get charged 4-5 hours on that job. Want it done cheaper... Do it yourself.
...so sounds like your problem is solved

My uncle was quoted $550 labour to do plugs and coils! He has NEVER worked on a 911 before, but he is handy and he did it in 2.5 hours! He said he was actually relexed talking to his nephew as he was doing it and didn't remove bumpers etc.
I agree the Porsche tax effects many of us.
