Pss9 Noise?

Had Pss9's Installed With H&r Sways, When I Turn The Steering From Side To Side It Sounds Like Popping Noise, Anyone Have Any Ideas?

Yes, it's probably your drop links. You'll probably only notice when you turn to full lock. Mine does the same thing. What links did you go with?

Are you talking a twanging kind of sound when you move the steering wheel to the extremes (at a stop or slow speed)? If so, the installer did not use the rubber washers off the stock suspension and they need to use them to stop the noise.

i'm not a a turbo suspension expert. i had to buy aftermarket drop links to work with my GT3 sway bars.

does bilstein include drop links with just the coilovers? my pss9's did not include links.

the drop links are usually more of a sway bar fitment issue. i would think the pss9's would drop right in without changing the links.

anyway, like i said. it's your drop links binding at full lock with the sway bars. it's not a big deal. you'll also be glad to hear you'll probably be noticing some clunking and other random unpleasant noises after replacing all your suspension components

Wross, Used The Stock Rubber Washers On The Rear But Not On The Front, The Coilovers Did Not Have Any Rubber Washers For The Front With The Kit.

You are supposed to use the stock ones in the front....that will remove the twang.

Honestly, I don't think it matters. It's just a symptom of the adjustable aftermarket links. It only occurs at full lock. They get loaded up and pop when at full lock. Not much you can do about it that I know of. Besides, how often are you at full lock anyway?

I got rid of the sound by installing a roller bearing in the place of the plastic/rubber ones that came with the PSS9 set-up. Unfortunately I can not remember where I got them but it was posted here on 6speed.

is it only while driving or will it make this noise when stopped and turning the wheel?

if it will do it while stopped, my guess is that they didn't unload the suspension while installing the sway bars. you may need to bring it back, have them unload the suspension, and loosen/adjust/retighten the drop links to the sway bars.
