I've been holding off on the IOS7 upgrade... Be sure to let us know if you get things worked out.

Can't recall if SBsettings has some power-on functionality...

Got it working correctly now. It was an issue with the the mobile substrate. If you reboot you iPad, you have to reload the mobile substrate to gain back Activator functionality. It appears the mobile substrate was updated last night and that might negate having to do the refresh. One thing I have noticed is you can no longer change songs by swiping cover art . You now have to use the forward soft button to advance to the next song. Other than that so far so good.

I finished my install a couple weeks ago and loving it!


It really is amazing all of the items I can do, of course play all my music, Netflix for the kids, can even watch live TV using my slingbox, Nav, email, texting, of course all this while NOT driving!


Check out the pile of wires pilled out from my old system that had TV, DVD, Nav, hard drive for music.

The mobile substrate has been updated and appears stable. I am also able to use SB settings without issue. A few things of note with the upgrade. The iPad appears to be easier to see. Important to me because I drive a Cab and the sun can washout the screen a bit. The iPad auto dim feature also functions better. Before mine would auto dim but not enough when dark. Now it really tones itself down. One thing I miss is the ability to flip through the songs when in now playing mode. With iOS7 you have to use the soft buttons to advance tracks.

has anyone tried the sideslider to see if it would fit? i would love to use the sony behind the ipad and get my cubby back. it looks like an amazing way to mount a mini
