Are you sure there is no switch that moves? I was trying all day to remove these cables and then I noticed this switch, once I moved it, it released the wires to make them easier to get out. I still needed the tool but without flipping it I couldm't get any wires out.

There are i think 3 swichtes on every side which hold the upper part down.

I got this off, but i still couldnt get the pins out.

I will try it again, but my tools do not have that push option like in the video. - I tried pushing them out throug the empty holes which are right after every pin.

Hi

Can someone please advise on a correct sized pin removal tool to take out the pins from the Gen 1 Bose amp connector pins A23-A32? They are the smallest pins on the connector - and are proving impossible to remove! There are ten speaker wires in there now which I need to take out and move.

Does anyone know what contact size the pins A23-A32 would be - that might help me find the right sized tool aswell?

Would Stahlwille Kabelex 1591 or 1572 work? If so which one, as there are so many model numbers? Or a different brand is fine. They are expensive so want to be sure I buy the correct one!

Thanks in advance

Resolved this one myself!

There are two flaps on the connector locking these pins in place. Another afternoon wasted, trying to pull out pins which never would have come out!!

Today we repinned the amp and installed the longer gps cable (It was a mess to do this)

But we couldnt find a way to get the cables (from gps and the new black plug) from the trunk to the pcm?

We also took the glove compartement out, but there is nearly no space to see where we can go there with cables

Can anybody tell us an easy way to get the cables from the trunk behind the pcm?

I passed mine through a rubber grommet near to the steering column. Just pierced it and pushed the plug on the end of the cable through. Once inside I fed it through to the PCM. It is a big faff. Make sure you pass the correct plug through. One is a straight plug, the other is at an angle.

Is this the one near to the battery on the driver side in the trunk?

There is a rubber thing, but on the right side there is no possibility, as the glove compartment is already out?

Hello Guys,

we made some pictures.

Do you mean the rubber in the second picture to the battery?

Inside we only have the steering column and no other rubber?

Could you please tell me where we can go with the cables?

@Serg

one more question.

We have the black plug.

On this we have B6 switched plus to connect which was A11 from the old amp.

But regarding the wiring diagram there are others also:

B2 Front Right +
B8 Front Right -
B1 Front Left +
B7 Front Left -
B4 Rear Right +
B10 Rear Right -
B3 Rear Left +
B9 Rear Left-

We do not have those Speakers at the old amp and if we follow the wiring diragram it opens a pcm for japan?

So are we right that we only have to take the B6 switched plus to the black plug and rewire the new brown plug at the PCm3 with new wire positions instead of the old one at the pcm2.1?

Thanks very much for your help

no, you aint got wiring diagram...
for this
B2 Front Right +
B8 Front Right -
B1 Front Left +
B7 Front Left -
B4 Rear Right +
B10 Rear Right -
B3 Rear Left +
B9 Rear Left-
you need to make new wiring loom to pcm3 brown plug, leaving 2.1 brown plug aside.

Thanks Serg this is what we did.

But at the new AMP there is a white and black plug, and the old only has the white one.

From the wiring diagram of the new amp we changed all cables including B6 switched plus to the black plug.

But in the wiring diagramm ASK AMP for the MY2009 there are 9 more cables:

B2 In Front Right +
B8 In Front Right -
B1 In Front Left +
B7 In front Left -
B4 In Rear Right +
B10 In Left Right -
B3 In Rear left +
B9 In Rear Left-
B6 Switched Plus

If we follow all these cables in the wiring diagramm we get into a pcm for Japan.

In the other wiring diagramm for pcm all these cables from the black plug are not existent?

So can we plug in the pcm and the amp with onyl the b6 on the new black plug and test it?

I remember you told me if it is not correctly wired, the pcm3 will burn the output and there will be no sound.
