997TT MK.1 PCM 3 conversion DONE :)
Where?
If i open MJ 2009 pcm i can see:
B2 Front Right +
B8 Front Right -
B1 Front Left +
B7 Front Left -
B4 Rear Right +
B10 Rear Right -
B3 Rear Left +
B9 Rear Left-
But not:
B2 In Front Right +
B8 In Front Right -
B1 In Front Left +
B7 In front Left -
B4 In Rear Right +
B10 In Left Right -
B3 In Rear left +
B9 In Rear Left-
which are at the new ask amp.
If i follow them it opens a PCM for Japan.
In the Europe one those cables are not present.
The old cables without in are already at the pcm.

This is the wiring diagram for the ask amp or?
Ok i see one pair is for japan and the other not.
But are these cables not the same as at the ask amp 2008 which are not IN?
I mean except the IN before the title they are completely the same?
On the white socket i already switched all cables front, right dashboard, door etc.
So these cables should already be behind the pcm where i have to make the new bronw socket?

I've started a new thread on this how to. but thought it appropriate to mention it here as well. HVAC upgrade done
Firstly many thanks to Monster, Slackster and issysman for their collaboration and the hundreds of emails that went back and forth to make this work.
After lots of work, In the end the fix is fairly straightforward….
How to upgrade your Porsche 997.1 to 997.1.5 HVAC (identical physically to Gen 2)
Firstly this only works with what we call the Gen 1.5 or 2009 997 Turbo unit – Gen 2 units won’t work with this fix the firmware is different to take account of the different wiring setup and compressor.
The part numbers are:
997.653.205.xx No heated seat version
997.653.215.xx Heated seat version
997.653.225.xx Heated and ventilated seat version
Where xx denotes Porsche version updates. These are available from OPC or Teile. You wont find one second hand they are very rare being only from 2009 Turbos.
Once you get your hands on one then you need to do the following:
Remove your old HVAC unit. To do this:
1. remove the small carpet piece from either side of the centre console held in place with a torx screw. Then remove the 2 small torx screws holding either side panel in place. Then sit in a seat and placing your grip at the rear of the side panel slide the side panel forwards towards the rear of the car, a good jerk will be required to unclip it.
2. At either side of the HVAC unit there is a spring clip. Push both in at either side and slide the unit out.
3. There are 2 connector blocks black and red in colour.
4. What you need to do now is remove the wire from B16 in the red block, the pin holes are numbered on the bottom of the block. Make sure you get the correct one…
5. This wire needs to go in the empty slot in D14 on the black coloured block. Pins for this are available from TE connectivity or get an old gen 1 loom and take out a spare from there.
6. On the Gen 1.5 and 2 Version there is an Evaporator temperature sensor connected to the now empty B16 and ground but you don’t need this it works fine without….
7. Reassemble everything that you you just took apart in reverse order.
8. You need to recode now with Piwis version 2 - Piwis version 1 won’t do this part. If you get OPC to do this it’s a 15 min job Max but they will probably try to charge you an hours labour – ask if you can watch….
9. You will need to activate your new HVAC unit by doing a vehicle handover operation in Piwis then change Compressor setting from external to internal setting in the A/C controller in Piwis.
10. If you followed everything correctly your done. Enjoy your new Freezing cold AC.

Can anyone help me with the conversion from no bose (ask amp).
I have a new loom from the ask amp b1-b10 direct to the pcm3.
But i have no sound at all.
I can code the pcm3 to 997 or 987, 997, GT2, GT2 without Klangpaket ASK.
Do i need to code other parts or how can i get sound?

So to all doing this upgrade. One of the issues that was never really resolved properly was getting the AC/HVAC unit to work to trigger the AC compressor. There are some theories on here about needing to out a Evap sensor in the wiring etc. but none of that is needed. A group of us in the UK have been working on this and one of the team cracked it. It turns out it was a very easy fix. As I was not the team member who did it I will divert you to a thread were you can read it step by step. It turns out it's just a PIWIS setting.
on page 19 here I wrote that 09 turbo ac unit work, why etc. but you can buy this unit only new, and expensive. and there is alot used units on ebay, which also can be used but with lot of work. all this mess was around that cheap used units.

Many thanks to this Thread.
I have done the conversion today and have one problem with the radio or better saying with the loudness.
It seems that only the door speakers work and that the soundlevel is not very high.
I put the volume to the max, but this is not very high. Especially when you drive.
I have a 997 Turbo with (unfortunatley) no exta equipment and no bose.
I bought an ask amp as per the picture here in this thread and installed it to the pcm3 and the old speaker cables as per the wiring diagram.
Did anybody had the same problems?

you did it yourself or?
make a photo of your amp, number on it, and plug with wires.
and make photo of pcm connector.
low volume = pcm work without amp. dont go max level - you will burn pcm output.

Yes i did it myself.
I bought the amp from a company that checked it before. (All channels work, they wrote on the invoice after testing).
I read the wiring diagram and made a loom from the amp to the pcm3.
(As my old one only had 1 connector, and the new one has 2)
At the pcm i inserted the new wires from the amp in a quadlock and i soldered the old speaker cables front right-, front right+, front left+, front left- to the new wires which came from the amp.
This is shown in the wiring. (The cables from the old speaker go to Door and 2Way Speaker - each + and -)
I will make some pictures as soon as iam back in the garage and get the cover panels out.
