Yes take the outer holder off. The pins are luckily not used. Take a piece of paper and write out all pin locations and it will make sense

P/n? Sure... 4g0972420 or 8E0972420b or 8E0972420c
They are the same but colour and wiring output direction. Google for photo.

Hi guys, strange question.

Sounds stupid, but I think I do not need codes!?
- is this possible?

As I have a new, never used PCM3 it is not attached to a car and within PIWIS I can see all options active and working.

So it seems I have the complete conversion done and ready just need the connector for the switch panel, rest is working.

Regards
David

)))

How is that - pcm3 not connected to a car, and with PIWIS you see all codes activated? Where you see this?

))) You missed something in this topic. Yes, this is possible. Unfortunately not for long. Ain't you think you are luckier than everyone else who done this job before? )))
By the way - do you really have tv and speller installed? And did you already load map?

I was just wondering why all those functions are available within Piwis and thought that maybe with brand new PCMs no coding is needed, maybe only if the device was already attached to a car.

So just a question of someone never had done this conversion before but thanks for making this clear.

No, this is not installed, but need to finish setting everything correct within the next days.

Hi guys.

Got the Mercedes pins today and tried to make a phone call.
Center speaker sound really like garbage, the sound from the other participant is bad and also the microphone seems not working that good because he can't hear me very good either.
Phone call was via BT.

So question is:
-Could this also occur because car is not coded yet?
- is an hardware update needed here to fit the needs of the PCM 3 and MK2?
- OLD mic is not working, I found it in the topic, sorry
- are maybe the old parts from MK1 **** and I should just buy mic and speaker from MK1 in brand new?

Maybe someone had the same problems and found a solution you never know.

Thanks a lot
David

Hello Serg,

last night i checked the wiring.

Can High
Can Low
Can Wakeup
Diagnosis

are all correct wired in.

I think due to the fact the pcm is not coded or the whole car? - it runs all the time as the unit was warm and the roof did not open, maybe due to a empty battery?

Walter,

Low battery can cause some problems... Also it is bad for piwis, will not make anything if lower than 11v... So charge your battery and try to look with piwis...

I will do Serg.

Now the car is coded and the fans do not run, so with a ctek 25amp i should get enough power for coding.
