I've a 997.2 C2 with PDK. I called around three Bay Area Porsche dealers (Carlsen, Fremont, and Stevens Creek) and only Carlsen would give me an estimate (2 labor hours * $165 / hour = $330).
I wish I could find a dealer willing to do the upgrade for $109...

Those are similar to the quotes I got from my dealer which prompted me to do the install myself. After the installation you can just take it to the dealer to have them program your car to recognize the mf wheel.
I just got the car last week, so I am still in the "babying" the car phase.
The first quote I've got from Stevens Creek Porsche was $5,000 over the phone ($2.5K for parts * 2). Even after I mailed them the link of the step-by-step instruction you detailed, they still would not come close, citing liability.
The Carlsen Porsche bid was without the "$100 glue". So they claim if I choose not to go with the glue, they would not guarantee the work.
So if I choose to do the work myself, I would still need to pay $165 to a dealer for activation. So my net saving is only $165. Since I am thinking about different ways to add bluetooth and iphone to my Bose, I might just combine all the dealer activation in on shot.

I told my dealer the MF function needs to be activated and they knew exactly what to do. I was charged for 1 hour labor. Everything works but I was expecting to see the MF configuration tab in the INFO section of PCM and I didn't see it being listed. For those of you whose car came with MF wheel, do you have the MF configuration tab in the PCM?

Just as JohnAMG asked, I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has the factory-installed multi-function wheel as to whether they have the tab that is described in the PCM 3.0 manual (this tab is supposed to let you select a specific PCM screen to appear when you press the "Page" button on the steering wheel, as opposed to the default mode of cycling through the various screens with each push of the button).
I just had my dealer install the multi-function upgrade that I purchased from Suncoast. Like yours, JohnAMG, everything with mine works, but there is no "Multi-function" configuration tab in the PCM for me either. Is this the case for you other guys who installed the upgrade?

BTW, my 09 C2S shipped from the factory with a standard C2S wheel. I had the multi-function added at the dealer after I saw the car so it was essentially the same as yours apart from my car being a 6-speed rather than PDK.
Yes, mine has the option available. Select Info / Options and it's there.

Is the option that is available just to select which PCM screen you want to assign to the button, or are there other choices as well?
Honestly if the option button only does the screen assignment I would leave it as is. My PCM has been glitch free and I wouldn't want the dealer to alter anything. My only wish is the dash cluster display would show the PCM page selection so I wouldn't have to take my eye off the road.
