1) does the Getty ducktail fit perfectly out-of-the-box? NOT EVEN CLOSE
3) to disable the original auto spoiler feature, can this be done by Duramteric (which I plan to buy)? or must be done at a dealer with a PIWIS? DEALER

Thanks.

The wings are fiberglass, they are very rough, it is far from ready to be installed. The wing requires lots of prep, prime then paint and wet sand, then buff to shine

Got it! No DIY for me then. May be I should take a holiday while the car is being transformed. The wait is killing me 😣

Does anyone have a oem ducktail from the 997 sc? I know it's tricky to order but someone must have one by now?

your welcome and enjoy! I always catch myself staring at my cars ***

just a tip with your painter... inspect it before you take it home. Or if he has not started... make sure he takes the time to smooth out any little bumps or waves in the primer/fiberglass. this applies to any new body addition made of fiberglass. just the nature of the beast. But if done correctly should look really nice... post pics when done!!

I know somewhere I read/heard its $3800-4100 for the part, which isn't too bad for some financially able. But I'm sure someone has a cousin who knows an uncle who knows a guy

The body shop does not have the PIWIS so the auto-rear-spoiler has not been disabled yet. However, I'm not getting any error message on the rear-spoiler, not even when the car exceeded 120KM/hr. Is this normal? Would there be any motor still running when exceeding the speed and risk burning the motor? Do I still need to have the feature disabled? Thx
