Documenting my C6 ZO6 build
Scott, you used to run Nitto DR's I believe... how do they compare to the MT DR's in your opinion?
I've had both too, Nitto DR's suck compared to MT's. Not even close. But don't ever get cought in the rain with MT's!
We'll do some more later. The Mickey's are pretty awesome. I'm hooking in second fairly well.
I'll give you the cliff's notes for now:
-EXTREMELY torquey. Can idle around town in 5th gear. Very fast as well. Power EVERYWHERE.
-By far the best sounding car I've ever owned. Period.
-Rides/handles extremely well. No body roll...stiff, but comfortable ride.
-Very stable at high speeds.
-Very light. Car weighed 3200lbs even with the extra weight of the S/C on a local truck scale. Peter's RWD Proto 996TT weighed 3500 on the same scale, same time.
-The stock T56 is very notchy, especially with a SSK. I may have to micro-polish my gears. Porsche trannys are like butter compared to this.
So far I'm absolutely thrilled with the car.

However, for high HP Porsche applications, I think the Nittos are the best DRs you can use (since they hook very well with the rear-weight bias, handle well, have good treadlife and are decent in the rain)....but for a front-engined, RWD car...the MTs and M&Hs' are king.

That's a beautiful C6Z you've got there! I really like the 360 Forged wheels; they look aggressive, but they don't scream "LOOK AT ME!". The TVS is an amazing piece, both to look at, and to make power with. I can't imagine having that amount of torque just off idle! Great build, and I hope you enjoy it in good health!
