Documenting my C6 ZO6 build
Scott, the car is mean as hell.
I bet you won't miss the weak launch capabilities and wheel hop of the 996.
This thing should be a monster on the street, strip and track.
We've all got the pocorn ready at the edge of our seats...

It makes it power a little differently than your old cars doesn't it?
The car launches really well! No wheel hop at all. She just hooks and goes.

We had a break in the rain so I took the Z06 out and got a few 60-130 runs in.
I ran a 5.86 on a slight incline in 87% humidity with 93 octane. That's exactly 2 seconds faster than my best stock time of 7.86...which was done on a perfectly dry, cool day. Tonight was much warmer and more humid.
I noticed that with this setup and the stock gears, the car is definitely not optimized for 60-130 runs. The best run was made with 1-shift from 3rd to 4th, but the stock gearing is so tall that I'm still very low in the powerband in 3rd by the time I hit 60 mph. So....I'm going to get a 3.90 diff for the car. Based off what Jamie (ohiogt2) has told me it will significantly improve the car's acceleration (he has the 3.90 diff in his car).

-Media blast transmission case
-Solid keys
-Bronze fork pads
-Steel 3-4 shifter fork
-RPM modified 1-2 shifter fork
-Hand fit sliders and hubs
-New Compressed Carbon blocking rings

AWESOME SCOTT! I'm jealous on the tranny...let me know what you think as I may do it too.
Patrick and I are talking about a new LSX motor for me in the next few weeks so we can get more aggressive with my fogger.

Z06. I'm not sure RPM makes a ZR1 specific diff??
