Documenting my C6 ZO6 build
Scott,
Just saw this thread. I can't wait to hear your results! I was out in my Z earlier this afternoon, it's so much fun drifting around.
I would highly recommend the RPM 3.73 rear end. It's the best mod I did. It really helps on the typical 40 and 60 rolls and makes 6th more usable for me when cruising around 80 with my cam.
I'm looking forward to seeing it when finished!

I'm taking this one step at a time to determine where I want to go with the car.
If I end up really happy with this initial setup, then I imagine a forged bottom end, more boost (850 rwhp or so), new RPM close-ratio tranny and RPM differential will be next.
For now, IRT driveline components, I'm looking at either RPM's 300M axles, or C5 ZO6 axles, which a lot lof guys with big power are running. What do you have on your car?
Thanks, Martin. I'm really looking forward to seeing how she turns out.
I'm pretty sure Joe (twint) owns one. Try contacting him.
Scott you owe it to yourself to check out the 3LZ interior package. I looked at a Z not long ago and think the exterior stying is on par with any exotic but like everyone else the interior killed it for me, however when I saw the 3lZ it looks as good as the 996. I think you can find the PCS on ebay. Just my opinion and take it for what it is worth. Great car and good luck with the build I call dibs when you sell it.

JP,
I have the 2LZ and already upgraded the radio bezel and door pulls to the 2008 versions, but I will definitely check out the entire 3LZ package. Thanks, bro.
The 3LZ package is a huge improvement over the plastic that was available on the '06 & '07 Z06's.
The interior in my 07 looks pathetic compared to the 3LZ in the wifes '08 427 Edition.
Funny thing is that the performance of the car is in no way affected.

I think we're going to try to take it to the track for the first time this Friday to see what it'll run. I'm also going to camp out front of Tym's and get him to run me on the highway in Kim's 997...so we'll be sure to video it.
Thanks, Jamie. I just ordered a set.
Nice! That's definitely video material.

I have a set of 345/19 Hoosier A6s standing by.
