Just purchased a 2002 DB7 Volante--my first Aston Martin! Chiltern Green, Fawn Interior and Burr Elm trim with automatic transmission and 23k miles on the odometer.
I've been looking for a while, and this color combination, reasonable mileage and good PPI were compelling. I wanted a "grand tourer" for regional roadtrips, driving tours, etc. I also wanted a naturally aspirated engine, and the sound on the V12 is outstanding.
Look forward to learning from experienced AM owners on this forum--my current experience is with my '93 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce and '82 Fiat Spider 2000 and its been great to learn those cars and enjoy that driving experience. I think I'll be more comfortable on the interstate at speed in the DB7....
We live in Annapolis, MD, and I'm on the lookout for local driving events and programs with the AM owner community. I also joined AMOCNA--it looks like they have a Mid-Atlantic chapter.
Appreciate the chance to join this online community!

Congratulations! It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. Great color combination.
Not sure if it is close to you but the Potomac Cars & Coffee seems quite active. Check out the last few pages of the Official Aston Martin Picture Thread located at the top of the forum. There are pictures of their recent meet and you can PM a few of the members for upcoming events.
You will find much more helpful information on your DB7 on the AMOC forum; not so much here. This forum and the one at Piston Heads is geared towards Gaydon models, whereas the Vanquish, DB7, and earlier are covered by the AMOC forum. There’s very little overlap.
Thank you for the many kind welcoming posts! Yes, the weather is decidedly uninviting for a convertible, so probably a little wait to get out on the roads.......
There are some items flagged during the PPI that I plan to address over the winter, so I'm not in any rush.
Appreciate the welcome, and hope to see AMs on the roads here in the Maryland/DC/Virginia region!
