GT radio button
Somehow today I was checking tire pressures and when I pushed the select button on the radio to reset tire pressures, the button popped off. The silver outer part of the button I have but the inner blank part with white edge dropped in The car and I cannot find it. I have attached a pic I found online, basically it is the button next to the Select button in the pic.
Anyone know where I can get a new one?
Also on the steering wheel, there is one small side button on the left and one on the right. The one on the left switches on and off the lighted buttons on the steering wheel, but what does the one on the right control?
Thx in advance

Hello Remy,
I have the buttons, would you believe each one is different, see picture of 3 buttons lying on their sides and notice the three different cuts of the stems.... now that's ridiculous !!
Now if just your button popped off and the retainer is good, you should be fine, BUT if the retainer is worn or broken for some reason then you must totally breakdown the face to expose the retainer located behind the circuit board, which alone is held down by 40+ tiny screws.
I will trade you for the bumper.....
You can PM me or call me at 908-507-6357, I will also be adding them to my listing in the marketplace.

The 3 buttons to the right of my steering wheel are labeled as to what they do. So our cars are configured differently.
But I have two buttons un-labeled on the left of the wheel. So I'm guessing these are the two you query.
You got one right. The other button controls the tilt and tele of the steering wheel. It also allows you to set it so the wheel will move out of the way to give you more room when you exit the car.
If you have an owner's manual it gives a good run down on all the button functions. Except it never properly explains the "residual heat" function. I had to look that up on a VW forum.
BTW my steering wheel heater button is actually on the left spoke of the wheel. Not next to the wheel.

Great !
Please be sure that when you insert the replacement button that you take notice of the position nub at 4:00 on the retainer as shown in your picture, that nub must align with the receiver slot in the chrome ring for proper orientation of the button.
Also as to your brake lights, I would start with a scan, but maybe just a BL switch.
Just a note, if and when you do get the new brake light switch, DO NOT play with the plunger prior to install, as it is a one time use for automatically setting it self when installed.
