958 CTT - what's this console button do?

I'm in the process of buying a '11 CTT (cannot wait!!) and noticed the button in the bottom row of 3 next to the hill descent, I haven't seen it in any other I've test driven, can anyone shed any light on what it does?

Looks like heated windshield. If you notice a fine metal loops embedded in the front windshield, then its most likely that

Yep, it's the windshield heater. I was lucky enough to have this on my '11 CTT. It's nice feature in the colder climates.
It may effect a dash mounted radar detector, but the K40 works great.

The downside could be the replacement cost if the windshield catches a rock.

Congrats on the Cayenne. You're going to love it. I have the heated windshield & really like in since in the north also. I have a 2015 Cayenne on the way & forgot to order it. Realized it too late.

it's a blank on my Florida car also in addition to the one above it (windshield heating and hybrid). I was hoping to use them for auxiliary purposes. The module for the switches is just one piece depending on the configuration. I was thinking of buying the replacement module that had all the switches built in and use the extra two for a radar detector and jammer. I priced out the switch module which wasn't badly priced (i recall about $80) but the markings are fixed. Post was here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...positions.html
