Hey guys, as I want to speed things up a bit I would like to come up with some questions and hope to get some help:

- does it better which climatic module to buy?
- which pin has to be repined?
- is a special pin needed?

- does it matter which switch panel (sport, wing,..) to buy or not?
- Are those connectors and wiring just plug and play from the 997.1 loom?

- is the option "XM radio" achievable through coding to are those radios coming with different hardware compared to the ones without this option on the sticker?

- I bouhgt the bose amp, but wondering if my 997.1 comes with the right connector to connect it or if i have to buy the connector and if yes, where can i get it?

Thanks for your support

I think you should buy switch panel according to your car, same with climate...
XM module is a hardware option, as dvd-changer, if you want it you should find correct unit.
All connectors and pins available at almost any vag dealer, rarely from mercedes or bmw

Climate module has to match the options you have such as heated seats or no. Also the buttons strip has to match if you have sport chrono or not.

Hi guys, this post below and the details about this topic still confusing me a bit.

I will buy the unit with the part number: 997 653 205 02

so is it still necessary then to change hardware like

- heating sensor -> could someone provide a part number
- compressor control switch
- FM antenna control box -> could someone provide a part number?

Thanks for helping
David

i tooked a look at both wiring diagram, it is doable but you will have maybe to cut wires and add some electronic and and...

Less efford and the only working solution would be, buy a 2009 997.1 turbo ac control unit from ebay or teile.com. There will be one problem left, the heating sensor is also differnt, serge explaint already. But that would be easy to fix.

After all this swaps, you will maybe find out, the PCM 3 is also dated. A dension will work and will do a BT streaming for spotify.
If have both PCM,s for me the look is the only big differnt.

Also don't forget the change the FM antenna amplifer control box. The PCM 3 uses a single wire antenna diversty.

do not need heating sensor, do not need compressor control switch, I don't even think this exists ( this is solved by swapping one pin on the connector) , do not need fm antenna control box.

Hi guys, some short question.

- Where and how to mount the ne Bose amp?

- is the Navi Pc in the trunk still needed or does the PCM3 calculate all by itself?

Thanks David

Any old units should be removed - navi box, phone unit etc
I placed new amp at old place, mount is selfmade from some metal scrap...

Hello,
I didn't find your whole story about your installation, please write it here since since (as I understand) you've done it and all things working, it is very interesting and important for those who not started or finished yet.
