Stradale vs TT
Stradale vs TT
Have both in the garage now, can choose either to go to work in
All I can say is that the (European) Stradale is outrageously noisy
and I love it (ex TVR owner here) BUT I still love the tuned 520 HP TT as well for its everyday qualities and was following wifey in the Landcruiser yesterday ( whilst she was in the TT ) and realised sometimes you don't appreciate what you have, thats why I've ordered a GT3 seat as the Stradale seats really are something else vs OEM TT items. The lowered TT is something as well, whilst everybody gorps at the Stradale as they can hear it half a mile away, a guy nearly fell off his bike looking at the TT as well yesterday

there is nothing out there like the stradale - save for the enzo. it's not something you can adequately describe in words, but once you're butt has been in one, you're gonna want one.
h'mmm...some thoughts:
1. I would have to think that a more fair comparison would be a GT-2 to a Stradale...or a GT-3.
2. No question that the Stradale is the more exciting car I am sure.
3. Would think that one could build a pretty exciting (and still reasonable as a daily driver) Gt-2 (or TT for that matter) for alot less money than the Stradale.
4. The Stradale is never going to have the P-car's reliablility.
5. Suppose it comes down to what your intended usage is.
6. And after all that the F-car is art and the P-car is truly still a piece of machinery...great machinery, but still not art...
Just my $.02 worth...

) The art vrs machine argument also applies to the questions over resale values.

I just don't like the fact the Stradale doesn't have much torque. You would have to keep it up in the revs to have any fun. I think I would only want one if I could keep my current tt.
Just my opinion but the tt with 400 ft lb's of torque stock and my car with nearly 700 ft lb's would be hard to give up.

Having now driven both (thank you so much Kurt and Bill for your generous offer), I can say with confidence that the Stradale is a fabulous car with an intoxicating engine noise and experience, but no substitute for a GT2. Period.
A properly driven GT2 will destroy a Stradale in most conditions. Though the handling on the Stradale is impressive, again, it's nothing that a properly set up GT2 wouldn't be able to overcome. For example, Guy's GT2 with the Ruf Nardo engine is probably more expensive than a 360 CS, but I can only imagine how fast that car is.
I was almost tuned over to the darkside, but then I drove my GT2 for a bit yesterday and realized which one I like more.

i think once you get over the mystique of the f-car you are left with a car that really does need to be well taken care of and simple things like changing brakes on the car WITH rotors can be a 5 figure repair. the 360 is less to maintain but still pricey. not good for a limited budget. the TT is definately a drive and go daily driver that you can be hard on and still not have to worry overly about repairs. i'd like to have a 360 and a turbo myself, but would never drive the f-car daily to work like i do in the p-car.
