Have you noticed that most of the recent posts are buyers getting new 09 cars ? Those discounts are about to end .

And yes your car is worth more if the miles are low and those mods are new . My car only has 700 miles . That sbrand new. I haven't even paid for the paddles and driven it yet .

You are an absolute wizard on car prices but mods on a car with 700 miles does not drive up the price.

Unless you sell it to a friend.

09 Launch cars are going for 74-75k in my neck of the woods. No matter what the color...I agree your car is worth 75 to most dealers.

I have . You don't get back every cent but you don't lose your shirt either .
I haven't but I know friends who have. The car loses 10-15% the minute you drive off the lot.

You want to say you have a special arrnagment with a dealer...fine.

But most people lose 15% after one month. That car is now a used; two owner car and the dealer is not going to eat the decreased value unless you overpay for something on the lot.

Nope, I haven't... I just think that you can't get all that you have put in modding the car...

Maybe I'm impatient and just wanted an answer --even if its to say no .
Larry:
Didn't you void the warranty on the PDK car the minute you did all those mods to it?
Did you keep all of the parts to put the car back to stock condition? My dealer told me that if I did what you did to my car they would void the warranty.

I would think the dealer would have more potential customers to buy that car if it was stock. What could they re-sell the car for? I think the price would be so close to a new one that it would not be easy. Also, with all of the mods on the car a lot of buyers would be wary of the car being reliable.

I am surprised that you want to let the PDK car go so quickly. I really like mine.

I hope it all works out well for you.

You can't. Especially on a new car.

Selling quickly sends red flags up and raises warranty issues. Your modding a first year model.

If your into mods and want to pay for a high end car you are going to do the mods you want. Or your going to get a great discount on the ones there that you don't like.

In my opinion Larry is making a mistake. I have had a TT 996 GT3 and a 997 GT3. Now I have a PDK. If you arent going to track it then its a waste. It will be like having a mistress when you absolutely love your wife. There is the high excitement in the beginning then her warts starts to show, she is always late, she wants to have the most expensive thing on the menu, blah blah blah. At first the GT3 is REALLY cool and it works SO well on the track, but then you want to take it to a get together and the road is really bumpy and the suspension is so stiff. And then you get stop in 2 hour stop and go traffic and your leg goes numb from shifting it with the GT3 clutch. Then you need to go to the city and you ruin the 4th front lip. Then you start driving the BMW instead of driving the GT3 and when you consider your not going to track it its just not worth it.
Oh I dont blame you, I hear the siren song. But its just not worth it. If you arent going to take it where it shines then its luster will go away in a couple months.
THe PDK C2S is so good It has all the tools to do especially what you say you want.

That was my take. And zero for the mods. Tried to trade my M3, they were offering me less than wholesale because of the mods. Sold some of the mods and sold the car with coilovers for more than typical price. Only happens in the private market though.

The launch cars are a different ball game . Theres too many of them , they have the wrong options , and they just don't sell .

PDK, Chrono, fill leather, painted seat backs, Bose , Adaptive seats , Standard Color .. this is what sells .

Maybe I ought to keep my car.

Well I took 20 percent when I bought it and the incentives end tomorrow and that goes for both buyer and seller . It is used but it has a lot of positives . So that's the risk which they face . Have you looked at used prices lately ?

Even 07 cars are in the 60's . Yep it makes no sense . Dealerships had to give away 09's but try and buy an 07 and it cost an arms distance away. Look at any dealership used car site . Then gasp.

I don't expect it all . Using your number of 75K plus half the value paid to the mods (8.5K) = 83K .

One of two ways
offer 83 K and discount the gt3 .
offer more than 83K and MSRP for the Gt3 .
