Fun Roads from PHX - Vegas?

Anyone know of a fun twisty road to take at least part of the way from Phx to Vegas? 93 through Wickenburg then Kingman doesn't look like so much fun.

Correct. I've done it a couple of times to go to the grand canyon. Boring but dangerous in that the speed limit is 70, which means everyone's doing 80 mph including the 18 wheelers passing you. Worse at night. For AZ, the run from Scottsdale to Sedona is a lot of fun.

If you're not in a hurry and can go a little out of the way, I had an absolute blast one day on 89A west of Sedona. I was going from Dallas to Las Vegas and had stopped in Sedona. Instead of going back up to I-40, I went west on 89A up through the town of Jerome and then down the hill into the Prescott area. Big elevation changes, tons of twists, not a lot of traffic (depending on your timing), and the town of Jerome is kind of interesting. Once down at the bottom in Prescott, I went directly north on a 2-lane road (I think it was 89 vs 89A) that led me back to I-40...following a Taurus and a cargo van that were going 90-100 mph.

The roads are interesting up near Hoover Dam, but always too much big truck traffic and law enforcement to have any fun up there.

Apparently you haven't lived in Nevada/Arizona. These roads suck. I have. I also grew up in NC and the roads are exponentially better there. The only decent road near Vegas is to Mt Charleston.

Charlotte, and went to school in Boone (best roads are in the mtns). I've also spent a lot of time in the sand hills and the triangle
