Everything you said is true

I guess I just don't look at it in the same light. I said this awhile back and I really meant it. I love the basic 996tt concept. I believe I always will. The only problem with it (for me) was I wanted superior power and handling. It was very good in the beginning .............. just not enough. And ............. it wasn't commercially available. This has changed slowly over the last four years.

The faces have also changed, with a couple of exceptions. They have moved on to greener pastures as you have said. One thing has not changed. In a couple of months, the look on my face when I when I turn on the key, warm her up and then take her to a winding mountain road or deserted lenght of road.

I'll pick up another car when one really catches my eye and continues to catch it over a period of time. Just haven't found that car yet. I won't sell KA as she will always provide that silly smile. I'm sure you have noticed any well maintained vintage (older) Porsche always commands interest on the roadway. A well maintained ageing Porsche will be something many people will look up to for years to come.

To me she is something that will always be very special.

There are certain things on the 997 that I really like. There are other things that really worry me. Like the ride height adjustment. I'm wondering if certain systems just won't be able to be modded. Heck, even on the 996tt no one has made any inroads on the PSM system.

The case is finished. All the machine work for the GT1 oil pump along with the lines (channels) for a third pick off the heads is finished. The cnc boat tailing is also complete. I'll post pics as soon as S Car Go gets the case back from the machine shop and takes some pics which should be very soon.

I just happened to open the first post for the cjv/ s car go thread. The first thread was started 8-23-03. Just a little over two years ago. The daily average views have been approx. 112 per day.

Spoke with Walt at HP Coatings (Utah). Our valve springs and exhaust valves will be coated and returned to S Car Go Racing by September 2nd. All the parts will then be in hand and assembly will start. S Car Go Racing should have the motor back in the car by September 27th.

It appears KA's motor will be installed by the end of September and tuned sometime in October. Myself and alot of others have been waiting a long time to see what she really can accomplish with her latest modifications.

We're going to rent some strip and track time (along with timing and measuring equipment) just for this purpose. What type of measurements would you guy's like to see?
